Welcome to Autism Fundraising Guide. I focus on therapies, treatment, advice, trends and personal anecdotes based upon my experience as a parent of a sixteen year old with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have seen this disorder go from relatively obscure when my child was diagnosed thirteen years ago, to a very maintream epidemic today.

Videos Make Socializing Fun For Children With Autism

Socialization is one of the most difficult challenges for children with autism. Socialization is hard and it really needs to be made easier for children with autism. That is why I really like the idea of video modeling. Video modeling is watching videos that show proper social behavior. Videos are usually enjoyable for children and it takes the pressure off and makes it fun for children with autism to learn to socialize. These are three video modeling series:

Fitting In and Having Fun
Watch Me Learn
Modeling: Let's Go to the Restaurant
They are available at http://www.difflearn.com/

The above videos have value in teaching social skills in a less stressful way. Perhaps if it is not so difficult then children with autism will make more progress in the area of social skills.
